Our connection to agriculture goes back long before the accounting practice.
Matthew grew up on a 20-acre nectarine and plum farm near Dinuba, California, where agriculture was part of everyday life. That experience provided an early understanding of the challenges that come with agricultural businesses: significant upfront costs, seasonal cash flow, inventory and production decisions, unpredictable conditions, and the need to plan well ahead.
While wineries have their own unique financial challenges, that agricultural background provides a practical perspective on the business behind the numbers.
